About El Dorado
Back in the 1600s, European settlers brought sugar cane to Guyana, kicking off its rum production. Now, there's Demerara Distillers Limited, the last distillery in Guyana, perched on the Demerara River's East Bank. This place is special because it collected all sorts of old stills and secret recipes from the area, making Demerara Rum legendary. It's a tradition and taste that's been centuries in the making.
