Tasting notes

Armagnac is a brandy hailing from the Armagnac region in Southwest France, which is column distilled, unlike its close cousin cognac, which is distilled in a pot. This one from Delord, tastes more like plum and bitter orange than a peach cobbler. Enjoy it on a cold night after a hearty meal.

Why we love it

Since 2018, we have been declaring it the year of Armagnac and Cognac. And while we may have been a few years early to the party, we’re excited you’ve joined us. Delord is pure art and, when sipped neat, is genuinely exceptional. And while it’s a hit to the wallet, it’s worth the investment when your bank account permits.

About Delord

The ancestral home of the Delord family, Lannepax, has housed their distillery since 1932. The brand’s renowned distillation process occurs only from November to December and produces less than 30 litres of eau-de-vie per hour. Delord's extensive cellars safeguard over 700 oak barrels, aging Armagnac from the 20th Century to the present day.
