As the name suggests, here is a beautifully balanced composition of Tasmanian malt whiskeys. The first blended whiskey from Lark, in fact. Expect tropical fruit flavours like mango and pineapple, as well as quintessentially Tasmanian notes of apples and oranges.
Here’s a blended whiskey that has been on a journey. From French oak to American Oak barrels then finally, to Tasmanian Pinot Casks. No wonder this feels like such a dark and mysterious drink, from its sleek black packaging to its complex flavour profile with notes of fruit, spice, and oak. It’s also worth mentioning it was crowned the category winner for the 2022 and 2023 World Whiskies Awards Best Blended Malt.
In 1992, after more than 150 years under an anti-distillation law, Lark became the first Australian distillery to produce single malt spirits. Wife and husband founders, Lynne and Bill, were inspired to create spirits born of the unique conditions and spirit of Tasmania. Lark is also one of the few Carbon Neutral distilleries in the world.
