Tasting notes

Herradura reposado tequila offers a complex aroma of woody agave, fruits, oak, and a touch of dark chocolate. Its thick and oily body coats the mouth beautifully, delivering fruity agave flavours with delightful spice notes. The finish brings a satisfying cinnamon kick that complements the fruity sweetness.

Why we love it

It’s hard not to love the people who invented reposado tequila; without Herradura we would not have this complex style of tequila. Aged for 11 months in American white oak barrels, it is truly a classic sipping tequila to be savoured, or if you’re feeling experimental try it in a classic whiskey cocktail variation subbing whiskey for Herradura Reposado.

About Herradura

Founded in 1870, Casa Herradura stands as the sole remaining tequila-producing hacienda in existence. It was here that the groundbreaking reposado and extra añejo varieties were invented, forever transforming the tequila landscape. The brands famous horseshoe logo has its origins in a story involving Aurelio López Rosales, finding one while working in the agave field. It’s intentionally displayed upside down on every bottle, signifying that pouring a drink brings luck.
